Seeds are like small machines.
There is no way you could replenish yourself or absorb the nutrients you need from a handful of dirt.
Plant a seed into that handful of dirt and it will grow and become a plant. And from that plant we eat the roots, leaves or fruits.
Can you see the beauty in it?
